Sand sculpture 2

After seeing the first sand sculpture i just had to post another one onto my blog. Look at this ones precise detail. There are millions of these images on the web, absolutly amazing sand sculptures. It is so creative and must be so challenging to get such detail in sand. I love these sculptures to bits.

Sand face

ABSOLUTLY AMAZING.

Have you seen the detial in this. Its made from SAND and just look at all the little viens in his face. The eyes look like they have colour in them and the wrinkles on the wrist are amazing. I dont know how it is possible to get such amazing detial into sand, but i have huge respect for the artist that did this. It is BEAUTIFUL and totally stuns me. I am completely amazed.

Chandelier earrings in the works

These earrings, altough not done yet are beautiful and i think they hold huge potential. The artist was inspired by chandeliers (as shown clearly in her work.)

They are stunning pieces of art and i find the choice in stones absolutly brilliant. They are complimentary colours (red and green) i find this particular peridot a stunning one. The light shining through it will look stunning.

Brilliant work.

I adore this pendant. The intricate design is simply beautiful. this is such an amazing piece and i find myself staring at it for ages.

Very much my style and it reminds me of thorny vines. Strong and independant yet very beautiful at the same time. The stone setting in the middle of the design compliments it so well.

All in all i think this pendant is truely amazing and a total success.

family tree

Another irish symbol i find very personal and very close to my heart is the one above. The irish believe that trees represent family, love and growth. I am very close to my family and think that this is such an amazing symbol to represent the way a family is bound togeteher for life. The brances of the tree represent growth and if you take a look at the symbol the branches all grow back into one another. This represents the way a family is bound to one another. I find this symbol very meaningful and such a brilliant choice for a tattoo.

Celtic love knot

I am part irish and one thing i love about the irish are their symbols. This one in particular is called the love knot. It has 8 hearts that are bound by an irish circle (represening woman.) if you look carefully right in the middle of the design there is an "X", it is said that the celtic love knot can enliven relationships and attract true love.

I love the detail of this symbol and find it truely beautiful as an item of jewellery. The detail is magnificent and cannot be overlooked.

Little chapel

This ring is very sweet.
I like the idea of putting little chapels all the way around the band.
It is such a creative and personal ring that can hold many memories for anyone that has it.
I like its orrigionality and its creativity.

The blackening is so nice too, the way it makes the silver chapels jump out at you.

I absolutly LOVE this ring.

I really like the antique syle in jewellery.
This ring in particular really cought my eye.
I enjoy the slight blackening around the intense detail on the silver band.
The detail itself is magnificent.
The maroon stone is so beautiful and compliments the whole design of the ring. The beauty of this item is amazing. I cant get over the detail of it and the craftmenship. This ring must have taken so much effort to make, but not a moment of it goes to waste.

Bikes paint job

They always say you can tell what kind of personality someone has by looking at their car.

Well needless to say this motorbike has a huge amount of personality and you can see straight away what kind of personality the owner of this bike has through this amazing paint job.

I love this design, but not only the design itself... I love the way the paint has been applied so well. every little detail is clear and flames jump right out at you.

I like the way the skull is blended in behind the flames, yet is still so noticable and dominant.

The design is a huge success in my eyes as it is creative, neat, eye catching and has a lot of personality.

House on a ring

This ring ia amazing. I love the way it holds so much detail.

It is extremely creative and shows so much character.

It is so stylish and modern.

I think the main reason i like this style so much is because it is so fun. This ring is well made and is very interesting, being so different from anything else i have seen... This is a ring that is sure to catch your eye.

Tribal tatoo

Personally i would never get this tatooed on myself because... well OUCH and it's BIG!

BUT...

I think it is a beautiful design. I enjoy the way the single tribal shapes are used together to build a stunning tribal mask.

I find this design full of suprises and every time i look at it i find something new buried within the ink.

Baby blue

I love the design of this bangle.

The cool colour of the stone is comlipented with the cool colour of the silver. I enjoy the way the designer has mixed organic shapes with geometric shapes too.

This gives it an origional and different feel, and altough normally the mixture of these shapes might clash, they have been tied in so well that they create the most beautiful design.

The wavy feel of the design on the silver band fits in so well with the stones shape as well as the shape of the band, yet the squares on the side (altough very different) are so nicely tied into the whole design that it compliment the organic feel hugely.

A most beautiful once off shot.

What an amazing photograph taken of a delicate spider web after the due had set on it.
This takes my two favorite things in the world and puts them together, nature and art. The jewel effect the droplets give to the spider web creates a delicate elegance to something most people find “gross”. This photograph creates a whole new way in which people view spider webs.
What a beautiful, intricate design and caught on camera.
The photograph itself is also truly amazing; I love the unfocused edges as they create a boarder effect.

Claudette Schreuders

Claudette Schreuders is an artist that I have found most inspiring for years now. She creates carved and painted wooden sculptures which deal with everyday problems.
Her sculptures are fun and playful with beautifully bright colours, yet they send a very serious message across to the audience.
She works with such a huge range of problems, those from the past such as apartheid to the most personal, private problems of her own that she will make universal.
Her art work is so full of love and honesty as well as being full of many different interpretations.
I would say that my favorite part of her art work would be the small details and the meanings behind her art. It is never possible to look at her work only once and see everything there is to see, you have to keep coming back to see the small details and hidden meanings.

Artists statement

As a person I find art and sculpture a way of life, everything around me is a form of inspiration. I find myself drawn to nature, this is where I find most of my inspiration. I would like to end up making small sculptures into jewellery, such as small animals on rings or as pendants. Using nature as an inspiration I can come up with unique designs that will hopefully one day inspire others. I am excited to begin making my own designs into jewellery pieces.
